Ben has been running workshops in rhythm, melody and improvisation for
over eight years. He aims to set people at ease, giving them confidence in
their ability to learn and enjoy music.
The groups develop rhythmic and technical skills, looking at improvisational
and creative techniques – and working with the musical traditions
of different cultures.
Ben has recently spent two years studying and performing in Ghana.
We've recently produced an audio cassette to introduce the techniques, melodies and rhythms of West African xylophone music.
